The museum collaborates with various designers to create new exhibitions. Each designer has their own style, so each exhibition looks slightly different. Curators determine the subject of the exhibition, and supply the text accompanying the exhibits. The designer then decides the best way to visualise the subject.

For this exhibition, the museum collaborated with Studio Beige from Rotterdam. The designers from this agency decided to use clear shapes and lines, as a contrast to the lack of connection between the exhibited items. The colour blue was not selected by accident. Blue was traditionally used for important figures in paintings. But the colour also features in hardly any of the exhibited items. So using this colour allows the items to shine.
